The Faculty of Sport and Tourism in Novi Sad has, according to its own mission and vision of high position in the company of quality, non-mass European institutions of high education, opted for a continuous and systematic improvement of quality of its study programmes. Such attitude is reflected in the continuous monitoring of curriculums from the fields of management and business in tourism, as well as the studies of world tourism, and their adjustment with own curriculum, according to the references of the teachers and associates. In addition to that, the Faculty library is constantly updated with the latest publications from the fields of management, economy, tourism and free time, as well as all other disciplines that study the phenomenon of tourism from various aspects. Teachers and associates are motivated to write the textbooks and coursebooks themselves, in accordance with the acquired scientific competences, but only after an adequate pedagogical practice and teaching experience on certain subjects.
In addition to that, teaching quality control is implemented through the control check-ups by the dean and vice-dean who evaluate the classes and give their suggestions for the improvement of teaching methods and quality.
At the end of each semester, the students fill in the evaluation sheet, evaluating on several levels the quality of classes, teaching material, methods of teaching at classes and exercises, the quality of communication with the teachers, teaching associates and non-teaching staff, the possibility to participate in the development of the Faculty, as well as the degree and quality of the impact on changes. In addition to that, at the end of their studies, the students evaluate the quality of the study programme, but also the adjustment of programme and acquired knowledge to the practical application and their expectations. Quality control is also implemented through the regular presence of the representatives of student parliament at the meetings, activities and events at the Faculty.
Additionally, self-evaluation by the participants is practiced at the study group after each semester and suggestions for improvement are given. the results of these polls are regularly collected and presented at the meetings of management organs, rendering them publicly available.
Quality control committee has set an additional goal to gradually introduce a complete quality control system according to the ISO 9001 recommendations.
